Given the different models that have been presented for state highway concessions, there is a need to examine the risks, demands and approaches for the future of the sector. To debate the topic, the office Manesco, Ramires, Perez, Azevedo Marques, in partnership with the GRI Club Infra, promoted on September 16, 2021 the e-meeting “New paths in state highway concession contracts”. The meeting was hybrid, with a face-to-face round table, on the premises of the office, and a digital meeting for the members of the GRI Infra Club

The in-person meeting was mediated by Eduardo Ramires, a partner at Manesco Advogados, and included the participation of the Undersecretary of Partnerships and Innovation of the São Paulo State Secretariat of Government, Tarcila Jordão; the CEO of CCR InfraSP, Fábio Russo; the Director of IR and Sustainability and the Superintendent of Regulatory Affairs at Arteris S.A., Giane Zimmer and Walace Vinícius Santos Merlin; the Director of Concessions Brazil at Sacyr, Aquilino Espejo; the Executive President of ABCR, Marco Aurélio Barcelos; and the Manager of Infrastructure Investments at GLP Brasil, André Velloso. Among the participants of the virtual session, Gustavo Valente, Infrastructure Investments from Vince Partners, was part of the round table. The guests commented on their perspectives in relation to aspects such as technological and regulatory innovations, legal security and the general difficulties faced by the sector in resuming investments in the new cycle of highway concessions.
